Qualan Alexander Evans, 13, of Gulfport died June 14, 2008, in Nashville, Tenn. He was born Sept. 1, 1994, one of triplet brothers, to Lance Leon Evans Sr. and Patsy Ann Evans of Gulfport.
He had attended Lyman and Orange Grove elementary schools, and North Gulfport Seventh and Eighth Grade School. He was a member of Lyman Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Qualan was preceded in death by his grandfather, Arthur Junior Carr.
Survivors include his parents, brothers Lance Leon Evans Jr. (Shaun) of Clarksville, Tenn, Julius Earl Evans (Vanessa), Justin Patrick Evans (Whitney), remaining triplets Quace Alexander Evans and Quint Alexander Evans, all of Gulfport; sisters Chereen Ya'Lonica Evans and Ariel Sa'Von Evans, both of Gulfport;
Paternal grandmother Irene Evans of Atoka, Tenn., maternal grandmother Betty Carr of Gulfport; step-grandmother Betty Brimmage Carr;
Aunts Ann Randolph of Flint, Mich., Karen Evans, Gwen Evans, Betty Evans, and Deena Evans, all of Forth Worth, Texas, Jennifer Patton, Jacqueline Williams (Kirby), and Margie Evans, all of Gulfport, Debra Carr (daughter Donae) of Houston, Texas;
Uncles Benny Ray Evans (Roberta) of Atoka, James Evans (Mickey), Thomas Evans of Gulfport, Jeffrey Carr (Patricia) and Dwight Carr of Gulfport;
Nephews De'Ron, De'Shon, Xavier E., Dillon, Denzel, Jayden, Johnny-Xavier, and James; nieces Deja', Taylor, Dayshia and Julie; and a host of cousins, relatives and friends.
Visitation and funeral service were June 18 at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home on O'Neal Road in Gulfport. Internment followed at Biloxi National Cemetery.
