Joshua Daniel Peterson, 16, of Waveland died Saturday, May 3, 2008, in Bay St. Louis, Miss. He was born in New Orleans and was a lifelong resident of Waveland.
He attended Bay High School, and was a member of St. Clare Catholic Church in Waveland.
He is survived by fiancee Desiree Wilcox of Diamondhead, father Danny Wayne Peterson of Waveland, mother Debbie C. Peterson of Bay St. Louis; brother Shawn Peterson and his fiancee Stormy Drezinski of Saucier; niece Raynie Peterson of Saucier.
Visitation was May 7 at Edmond Fahey Funeral Home in Bay St. Louis. A burial Mass was at St. Clare Catholic Church and entombment at Waveland Cemetery.
FAMILY MEMORIES: Joshua was an excellent baseball player, serving as shortstop on his high school baseball team. He had traveled widely playing in World Series games.
He was a wonderful sportsman, also enjoying hunting, fishing, and anything else outdoors.
Joshua had a big heart, was a wonderful son who loved to help others, and will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

BAY ST. LOUIS – A teenage all-terrain vehicle rider died Saturday when the four-wheeler overturned, officials said.
Joshua Peterson, 16, was out fishing when the “freak” accident happened, said his father, Danny Peterson of Waveland. ....
