Cherish Hope Thomas

Infant Cherish Hope Thomas died Thursday, Jan. 17, 2008, in Gulfport.

She was preceded in death by brother Patrick Thomas.

Cherish is survived by her mother, Misty D. Stough; father William Thomas; sisters Chelsea, Courtney, Chassidy and Chessney; grandparents Barbara Scotts and Phillip Stough; great-grandparents W.H. and Darlyene O'Leary; aunt Sarah Stafford; uncle David Stough.

Services were held at Riemann Family Funeral Home on Three Rivers Road in Gulfport. Burial was at Woolmarket Cemetery.

Deshone Vincent Warren Sr., 25, of Picayune died Jan. 16, 2008.

Visitation and funeral services were held Jan. 23 at Trinity Outreach Ministries. Burial was at Picayune Cemetery.

Cayla Jo Pugh

Cayla Jo Pugh, 5 months, of Hattiesburg died Sunday, Jan. 6, 2008, in Hattiesburg, Miss.

Cayla was preceded in death by her great-grandfathers, Jeffie Bond and Maurice Pugh.

She is survived by parents Jason and Angela Pugh, and sisters Sierra and Alyssa Pugh, all of Hattiesburg; grandparents Jeff and Avonelle Pugh of Saucier and Jane Gray of Shreveport, La; great-grandmothers Lexie Bond of Perkinston, Betty Ryan of Gulfport, and Myra Beach of Mobile, Ala.

Survivors also include aunts and uncles Cyndi (Kelly) Wyles and Aimee Pugh, all of Hattiesburg, Stephanie (Greg Anderson) Pugh of Long Beach, Samantha (Robert) Warren of Shreveport, Melissa Gray of Baton Rouge, La; cousins Cameron, Haley and Kaylinn Gray, Amber and Victoria Smith and Payton Harris, Kambrye Cochran and Ilyana Wyles.

Visitation and funeral services were held Jan. 9 at the Riemann Family Funeral Home on U.S. 49 in Gulfport. Burial followed at Saucier Cemetery.

Taylor Ny'Asia Moore

Taylor Ny'Asia Moore was born and died Friday, Jan. 4, 2008, at Memorial Hospital in Gulfport.

Taylor is survived by her mother, Alberta Melissa (Missy) Moore of Gulfport; maternal grandparents, Johnny and Mary Moore Jr. of Gulfport; nine aunts including Bertha (Marlon) Bowie, Maxine (Christopher) Harper, Felicia Bowie and Jackelin Foxworth, all of Gulfport, also Mary Moore of Pascagoula, Marliyn Turner of Hurley, Carylon Kinned of Pascagoula, Albertha McCarroll of Wiggins, and Rosie Haynes of Dayton, Fla; four uncles including Samuel Bowie of Mexico, Johnny Moore, James Updite, and Sam Moore, all of Wiggins; special cousins Mary "Rabbit" Bowie and Thomas "T.J." Bowie; and numerous other uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.

Services were held Jan. 9 at Monroe Memorial Park on Canal Road in Gulfport, where the Rev. William Harper, pastor of Greater Love Fellowship Baptist Church, officiated.

Daniel L. Battle Jr. 14, of Gulfport died Friday, Jan. 4, 2008.

Gavin Forrest King

Gavin Forrest King, 6 months, died Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2008, at Oschner Medical Center in New Orleans, La.

He is survived by his parents, Stephen and Michelle King of Wiggins, Miss.; sisters Chloe and Noelle King of Wiggins; grandparents Thomas and Rosemary King of Mt. Crawford, Va., Melinda and Robin Greisman of Iron Mountain, Mich.; great-grandparents Mary King of Kendallville, Ind., and Margaret Kezdi of Chicago, Ill.

A first visitation was held Jan. 7 at Moore Funeral Home. Second visitation was Jan. 8 at First United Methodist Church in Wiggins.

Paul Dunbar



Paul Dunbar, 23, of Biloxi died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2008, in Biloxi.

He was preceded in death by his father, Larry Dunbar, and grandmother Stella Powell.

Survivors include his mother, Cathy Dunbar; brothers Joey Dunbar, John Michael Dunbar, Preacher Dunbar and Trace Dunbar.

Visitation and burial Mass were held Jan. 7 at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church.

Funeral arrangements were handled by Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home on Howard Avenue in Biloxi.
