Timothy Jeremiah Kirby

BILOXI -- Timothy Jeremiah "Jeremy" Kirby, age 12, died Saturday, Oct. 23, 2010 in Biloxi.

Jeremy was a member of Biloxi First united Methodist Church Junior High Youth Group, Honor Roll Student, served on North Woolmarket Student Council, Students That Pray (STP), and the Biloxi Junior High Builders Club.

He enjoyed playing soccer and baseball, and dabbled in football. The love of the game went past the field. You could often find him playing pick-up football or baseball with his brothers and cousins. Taking piano lessons since first grade, he had an ear for music, and was gifted in yet another way.

He enjoyed video games with his siblings, fishing with his dad and brothers, going to E-Fit with the family during the week and spending time with his family during Friday family night.

Jeremy was not demanding or quarrelsome; he was very easy going. He was generous with gratitude, saying "thank you" for the smallest things. He was extremely polite and brutally honest. He was loyal, doing what he was told, and he was curiously adventurous, but knew what he liked.

He is survived by his loving parents, Eddie and Martha June Kirby; siblings Eddie Jr., Mosie, Chloe, and Duke Kirby; grandparents Jane Thomas, James Robert Kirby IV, Debbie Sinopoli, Regan and Bernie Regan, and Timothy and Tammy Wheat; great-grandparents Raymond and Martha Sinopoli; numerous other relatives and friends.

Family and friends are invited to gather Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2010, from 5 - 8 pm at the Biloxi First United Methodist Church, Old Hwy 67 North in Woolmarket. The funeral service will be held Thursday, Oct. 28, 2010, at 11 am in the church sanctuary. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. in Southern Memorial Park, 2000 Beach Blvd, Biloxi.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Jeremy Kirby Trust Fund at any Bancorp South Branch.

Overflow parking will be at the Joppa Shrine Temple and shuttle buses will be provided to and from the parking lot/church. Please refrain from parking along Old Hwy 67.

The Riemann Family Funeral Home, 274 Beauvoir Road, Biloxi is in charge of arrangements and memories may be shared at www.riemannfamily.com

Thank you so much for sharing this. I am Jeremy's mom. I started a blog last week about struggling with daily life after we lost our precious son, Jeremy. I hope it can help others that are struggling with the loss of a child as well. http://7piecepuzzle.blogspot.com/
Peace, MJ
