Holden Lee Grant Spears

Having lived only 20 minutes, Holden Lee Grant Spears passed away Feb. 25, 2009. He is the son of Sasha Spears of Gautier.

He was preceded in death by his aunt Teresa Benjamin, great-grandfather David E. Parnell, and great-great grandmother Abby Parnell.

He is survived by his mother, sister Kyra Spears; grandparents Steve and Christian Parnell of Gautier; great-grandparents Charlynn Parnell of Gautier and Duane and Sharon Lackey of Arkansas; uncle Brandon Parnell of Gautier, aunt Sharon Parnell of Gautier, great-aunt and -uncle Benny and Sharon French of Gautier; John Longawa of Ocean Springs.

An evening memorial service will be held March 5 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, officiated by the Rev. Charles Nutter.

Compassionate Friends of Leakesville, 7 p.m. first Tuesday each month at Faith Presbyterian Church, 1300 Mississippi St., Leakesville, MS 39451. Anyone who has lost a child, grandchild or sibling from the surrounding counties is welcome to come to the meetings. We are a bereaved parents self-help support group. GriefShare, a 13-week recovery support group for those who have experienced the death of a loved one, meets at 6 p.m. each Thursday in the fellowship hall of First United Methodist Church in Pascagoula. The church is located at 2710 Pascagoula St. Contact 762-5222.
Mississippi Gulf Coast Chapter of Compassionate Friends, 6:30 to 8 p.m. first Tuesday each month, meeting room at St. Martin Public Library, 15004 Lemoyne Blvd., Biloxi.
