Matthew William Myers

Private funeral services were held recently for infant Matthew William Myers.

Matthew was 18 days old when he died Friday, Feb. 18, 2009, in Gulfport, where his twin brother Christian James Myers had preceded him in death.

Survivors include parents William and Brigett Myers, brother Price Samuel Myers, grandparents James and Gerri Garringer and William and Edie Myers, and aunts, uncles and other relatives.

Compassionate Friends of Leakesville, 7 p.m. first Tuesday each month at Faith Presbyterian Church, 1300 Mississippi St., Leakesville, MS 39451. Anyone who has lost a child, grandchild or sibling from the surrounding counties is welcome to come to the meetings. We are a bereaved parents self-help support group. GriefShare, a 13-week recovery support group for those who have experienced the death of a loved one, meets at 6 p.m. each Thursday in the fellowship hall of First United Methodist Church in Pascagoula. The church is located at 2710 Pascagoula St. Contact 762-5222.
Mississippi Gulf Coast Chapter of Compassionate Friends, 6:30 to 8 p.m. first Tuesday each month, meeting room at St. Martin Public Library, 15004 Lemoyne Blvd., Biloxi.
