The family of Willie James Moore, 23, of Pascagoula recently marked the two-year anniversary of his death, which was Sunday, Jan. 21, 2007, in Mobile, Ala.
Moore was attached to the 2nd Assault Amphibian Battalion, 2nd Marine Division in Gulfport, Miss.(RUC 83279). He was activated and deployed to southwest Asia during April 2006 in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. During two tours to Iraq, he received several medals.
Internment was Jan. 29, 2007, at Biloxi National Cemetery.
