OCEAN SPRINGS -- Hundreds of people from the St. Martin community and across South Mississippi attended funeral services for Kaitlynn Reiser on Sunday, Aug. 21.
Visitation and services were held at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home on Porter Avenue.
Kaitlynn, 12, died Thursday night, Aug. 18, after a truck driven by a peewee football coach backed over her in the parking lot at the St. Martin Youth Complex. She attended St. Martin Middle School.
Jackson County Sheriff Mike Byrd has said that Kaitlynn's death was a horrible and tragic accident, according to television and newspaper outlets in South Mississippi.

Kaitlynn Nicole Reiser, had been a resident of Ocean Springs since 2006. She was a cheerleader at her middle school, and recently had been chosen as a homecoming maid. She also loved singing, according to family members.
St. Martin schools are among three community attendance centers that are part of the Jackson County School District

Kaitlynn was born Dec. 22, 1998. She is survived by mother Regina Buckeridge; father Keith Reiser; stepfather Richard Martin; sisters Savannah Reiser, Shianne Martin, Shealeigh Martin; brothers Gaige Buckeridge and Ricky Martin Jr; grandparents Sharon Fritts, Wayne Brian, Kim Reiser, Fred Reiser, Valerie Lepine, Louis Lepine and Paul Martin Jr.; numerous aunts,uncles, cousins and countless friends.
Visitation for Kaitlynn's funeral began at 11 a.m. and ended when the funeral service started at 1 p.m. in the Bradford-O'Keefe chapel.
Interment followed at D'Iberville Memorial Park.
