Jana Dickerson Johnson

Jana Dickerson Johnson, 25, of Picayune died Jan. 30, 2008, in Pass Christian.

Graveside services were held Feb. 2 at Turtleskin Cemetery in Nicholson, Miss.

McDonald Funeral Home of Picayune handled service arrangements.

Gavin Forrest King, 6 months, died Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2008, at Oschner Medical Center in New Orleans, La.

He is survived by his parents, Stephen and Michelle King of Wiggins, Miss.; sisters Chloe and Noelle King of Wiggins; grandparents Thomas and Rosemary King of Mt. Crawford, Va., Melinda and Robin Greisman of Iron Mountain, Mich.; great-grandparents Mary King of Kendallville, Ind., and Margaret Kezdi of Chicago, Ill.

A first visitation was held Jan. 7 at Moore Funeral Home. Second visitation was Jan. 8 at First United Methodist Church in Wiggins.

In lieu of flowers, donations were made in Gavin's name to First United Methodist Church, the Muscular Dystrophy Association, 4401 North I-10 Service Road, Suite 104, Metairie, La., 70006, or the Families of Spinal Muscular Atrophy (FSMA), P.O. Box 196, Libertyville, Ill., 60048-0196 or FSMA.org.

Compassionate Friends of Leakesville, 7 p.m. first Tuesday each month at Faith Presbyterian Church, 1300 Mississippi St., Leakesville, MS 39451. Anyone who has lost a child, grandchild or sibling from the surrounding counties is welcome to come to the meetings. We are a bereaved parents self-help support group. GriefShare, a 13-week recovery support group for those who have experienced the death of a loved one, meets at 6 p.m. each Thursday in the fellowship hall of First United Methodist Church in Pascagoula. The church is located at 2710 Pascagoula St. Contact 762-5222.
Mississippi Gulf Coast Chapter of Compassionate Friends, 6:30 to 8 p.m. first Tuesday each month, meeting room at St. Martin Public Library, 15004 Lemoyne Blvd., Biloxi.
