Dustin L Brown

One of two men killed on Mississippi 63 this week, Dustin L. Brown died after being struck by a hit-and-run driver while walking just north of Moss Point.

Highway authorities said the accident occurred just before midnight Thursday, Sept. 4. Brown, 22, was a resident of Moss Point.

Authorities are looking for the driver of a sports utility vehicle.

Compassionate Friends of Leakesville, 7 p.m. first Tuesday each month at Faith Presbyterian Church, 1300 Mississippi St., Leakesville, MS 39451. Anyone who has lost a child, grandchild or sibling from the surrounding counties is welcome to come to the meetings. We are a bereaved parents self-help support group. GriefShare, a 13-week recovery support group for those who have experienced the death of a loved one, meets at 6 p.m. each Thursday in the fellowship hall of First United Methodist Church in Pascagoula. The church is located at 2710 Pascagoula St. Contact 762-5222.
Mississippi Gulf Coast Chapter of Compassionate Friends, 6:30 to 8 p.m. first Tuesday each month, meeting room at St. Martin Public Library, 15004 Lemoyne Blvd., Biloxi.
