15-Year-Old Loses Life on Rural Roadway

VANCLEAVE -- A 15-year-old lost his life Monday after the vehicle he was driving hit a tree on Wade-Vancleave Road, according to news reports.

James Lindsey Harris III died about 8:30 a.m. June 14 when the sports utility vehicle he was driving left the roadway.




Funeral services for James L. Harris III will include visitation from 11 a.m. to noon followed by eulogy services at Heritage Funeral Home in Escatawpa on Friday, June 18. Burial will be at Serene Memorial Gardens.

OBITUARY
Mr. James Lindsey Harris, 15, of Vancleave passed away June 14, 2010, in Mobile, Ala.

James was born March 7, 1995 in Meridian, Miss. He was a student at Vancleave High School, and had a true love for the outdoors and spending time with his friends.

James was preceded in death by his grandfather, Jimmy Max Munn. He is survived by his mother Jackie Russell, father Mark Lewis, and siblings Brittany Harris, Shannon Lewis, and Kathleen Lewis.

He is also survived by grandmother Kathleen Munn, grandfather Jerry Russell, and godparents Roger and Becky Odom. He also leaves behind a group of special friends: Arron, Eddie, Boo, Sonny, and Larry.

Visitation for James Harris III will be Friday June 18, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon at Heritage Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 12:00 p.m. in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home, with Rev. Terry Shows officiating. Interment will follow in Serene Memorial Gardens in Escatawpa, with James's friends Arron, Eddie, Hunter, Nui, Alan, Boo, and Kalani serving as pallbearers.

Osvaldo Caro

Osvaldo Caro, 11, died Thursday, June 10, 2010, in Gulfport.

He was sent to Lohman Funeral Home in Deland, Fla., for burial services.

Riemann Family Funeral Home of Gulfport was in charge of local arrangements.
